Dr. Jeff Cowan lives a ministry-focused life as a husband and father of two. He serves on the Lead Team at Freedom Life Church in Mansfield, TX, and is an author, teacher, and speaker. He is also co-founder and Executive Director of Gathered in Unity, an ecumenical nonprofit ministry collective serving the Body of Christ.

Jeff’s academic credentials include a DMin in Messianic Jewish Studies, an MA in Theological Studies, and a BS in Counseling Psychology. He is committed to helping the Body of Christ live in accordance with Philippians 2:1–11 and the promises found in Romans 11:25–27, 1 Corinthians 15:24–26, and Hebrews 10:12–14.

Lynn has worked in cross-cultural ministry for over 15 years. She has offered counseling, care, and consultation to missionaries and their families, pastors, ministry workers and their children, as well as partnered with international entities for disaster relief and trauma work. Her experience and expertise have been informed by years of international travel and partnerships and enriched by an upbringing overseas with parents engaged in Bible translation work in the Amazon jungle.

She is a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and holds certifications and training in Trauma-Informed Care, ADHD/ASD, Compassion Fatigue, Prepare & Enrich, TCK Care and Education, and Cross-Cultural Care and Well-Being.

She earned her Doctor of Ministry in Organizational Leadership and serves as an Adjunct Professor at The King’s University. She enjoys developing upcoming ministry leaders and counseling students.

She also runs a private practice, Streams of Refreshing, focused on integrated faith-based counseling and discipleship-centered supervision. Lynn is an avid nature lover; if you cannot find her in the office, look for her under a tree somewhere.

Karen Cheng brings more than three decades of experience in church ministry and nonprofit leadership, with a particular interest in spiritual formation, compassionate care, and connecting people across backgrounds and traditions. She serves as Crisis and Care Leader at Christ the Rock Community Church in Wisconsin and is a co-founder of Crescendo Missions.

Karen earned her Doctor of Ministry in Messianic Jewish Studies from The King’s University, where her research explored Jewish prayer, spiritual life, and communal identity within Messianic Jewish communities. She also holds an Executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and a bachelor’s degree in Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley.

Through Gathered in Unity, Karen hopes to help followers of Jesus learn from one another, deepen their faith, and bring thoughtful Christian learning into everyday life.
